Animal Classification ~ Science Series

The kids learned to classify animals last week into their major groups: Mammals, Reptiles, Amphibians, Fish, Reptiles, and Invertebrates. I found five of them from here, then made up my own Invertebrates card. You can find them all here.

We pulled out all their Toob animals and set the cards out. We went over what type of animals went into which group.

Then they had a chance to try and classify them. They did pretty well and we found that we had many more mammals than previously thought.

The next day was homeschool day at the Aquarium and a free day at the zoo, so they got to put their new-found knowledge to the test.

Follow our trip to the Aquarium and the Zoo.
