Reading Corner – Montessori Style

My toddler loves, I mean LOVES to read. We went through stacks and stacks of books everyday from the moment he could walk to pick one up and bring it to me.

Following the Montessori style of child-sized furniture, we added a little chair to his room and a light on top he can switch on and off. This is his reading corner. He’ll sit and read his books there when I’m busy making dinner or feeding his little sister.

Supplies: Child-sized chair ($5 garage sale) or I’m sure you can find a new one online.

Preparation: None, and great for when mom’s busy!

I am a mom and a homeschooling teacher of two little ones. I am also a Biblical Studies major with a hobby in Creation Science. I love to research Biblical topics and how science and the Bible live in harmony with each other. I learn beside my children when we read, build, and explore with the help of our glorious classroom - God's green Earth!
