Happy New Year 2018!
This year, our family is going to be focusing on learning Bible memory verses. We’ve done a few in years past, usually as they are connected with Bible lessons at church, but we haven’t kept with them and once the lesson is over, they are forgotten.
The memory verses we are going to focus on this year are the more common verses every child, and adult, should know.
Children have amazing memories! I’ve witnessed my children reciting long stories from books they’ve read only a few times.
Knowing these memory verses by heart, will be a great benefit as they grow older. What they learn now in their childhood, will be more easily remembered for their lifetime and pulling from that Scriptural knowledge when trials come will give them a wealth of wise counsel when they need it most.
I’ve put together a document of 101 memory verses which can be done in just a few minutes, once or twice a week.
These printable cards can be downloaded here for use in your home. Print it on heavy cardstock to make the cards more durable.
Thanks to my sister-in-law for her list of memory verses she uses with her kids. I’ve incorporated a few of them into this list.
What are you doing new this year?
