♫ On the Third Day of Giving,
The kids helped me,
Pick a donation box,
During a supermarket shopping spree. ♫
This is one of the easiest ways to help out this season. The next time you’re in your local supermarket, grab a box to help supply other families with food. They usually don’t cost very much depending on where you go and one box can help serve food to dozens of people.
In our case, King Soopers had $5 and $10 boxes available for purchase.
Have the kids pick one to put in the cart and just pay for it once you get to the register. That’s it!
Now, you’re probably wondering where the money goes once you purchase that empty box. According to their website, Kroger, in partnership with Bringing Hope to the Table, donates the money that you spent on the box to a food bank of choice, which rotates through out the year.
That food bank in turn helps families by giving them food made possible by the donation.
